BAND OF DISTINCTION MEMBER FOR A DAY FORM

ATU BAND MEMBER FOR A DAY 2026

DATE: Saturday, november 7

Here is your 2026 member for a day schedule:

8:00 a.m. 鈥� 9:00 a.m.

- - - Check in at Thone Stadium

9:00 a.m. 鈥� 10:30 a.m.

- - - Rehearsal with the Arkansas Band of Distinction (ABD) at Thone Stadium on the Tech Campus (weather appropriate, casual, athletic clothing is recommended).

10:30 a.m. 鈥� 12:30 p.m.

- - - Complimentary lunch will be provided by the College of Arts and Humanities to the first 500 participants who register by Sunday, NOvember 1, 2026 (all participants will be sorted into 3 smaller groups to prevent long lines in the cafeteria).
    - Academic Affairs Welcome Session (located in Witherspoon auditorium).
    - Academic Fair, fun games, and music on the campus quad.

12:30 p.m. 鈥� 1:00 p.m.

- - - Change into band uniform.

1:00 p.m. 鈥� 2:00 p.m.

- - - Meet the Tech Band at Nutt Residence Hall for the traditional pre-game warm up, Party in the Plaza, march to the stadium, and pre-game performances.

2:00 p.m. 鈥� Kickoff! GO TECH!

- - - You will sit in the stands with us and play throughout the game - including a stand still halftime performance with the ABD! The game should finish at approximately 5:00 p.m.

MUSIC

- Click here for 2026 Band of Distinction Member for a Day sheet music and video tutorials for twirlers and color guard.
  (NOTE: Required pieces for the day of the event are the Metallica piece and the National Anthem. All additional music is optional and provided to you so you may join the band playing in the stands, if you choose.)

Additional information

- Attendees will be responsible for printing/bringing their own music. We will not have copies of the music on-hand the day of the event.
- Attendees will be responsible for bringing their own instruments to Member for a Day.
- Drum majors are more than welcome to bring their own ladder or podium.
