What sets us apart

The ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵWay: reimagining the purpose of education. Our purpose is simple, yet profound: To inspire spiritually compassionate changemakers. Click here to read The ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵWay.

The ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵSchools Trust bases its approach on our core principles of educational excellence, character formation and spiritual insight. Our solid examination results are testament to our belief that an emphasis on living well and ongoing character development goes hand in hand with a good education.

The ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵDifference

The ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵWay is the route map for the ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵfamily of schools. It sets out our purpose and vision, to make clear our highest expectations and commitment to inspiring spiritually compassionate changemakers. Our beliefs are the foundations of our curriculum, pedagogy and ways of working and where our virtues of self-discipline, respect, empathy, integrity, courage and gratitude are lived out, experienced and developed.

With excellent student outcomes across all our schools, ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵhas a proven approach to school development and improvement. Our school outcomes are amongst the top 10% in the country at Key Stage 2 and 4.

Our recent cohort of GCSE and A-Level students have excelled well beyond the achievements of the national average, reflecting their dedication to learning and the hard work of their inspirational teachers. Their truly astonishing exam results open the doors to some of the best universities in the country.

All children are welcomed in our schools and supported to reach their full potential. We respect and celebrate the diversity of students, empowering them to build on their strengths. We believe that having a supportive environment motivates students to perform better, improve, and grow. Our teaching staff, therefore, create optimum learning outcomes for all students ensuring requirements are met regardless of their background, learning style or ability. In practice, this means removing any barriers that prevent students from learning.
At Avanti, we care for and respect all life – human, animal, and plant – and strive to live in a way that causes the least possible harm. Students are encouraged to lead on social-action projects, from developing environmental initiatives to working in the local community. For our school communities, these selfless efforts and commitment to stewardship lead to a sense of respect, responsibility, and engagement, contributing positively to society and the world.

¶¶ÒõÊÓƵSchools support each person’s life journey along three parallel paths: Educational excellence; Character formation; and Spiritual insight.

Avanti’s unique ethos places a key emphasis on each individual’s wellbeing and good mental health. Children with higher levels of emotional, behavioural, social, and school wellbeing, on average, have higher levels of academic achievement and are more engaged in the school community. All our schools share a dedicated approach to wellbeing, from providing yoga and mindfulness sessions, sports and exercise, charity work, and working with parents and carers as co-educators.

The best thing about ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵis that my kids absolutely love going to school. The teachers make sure that every child feels important. Throughout the years I’ve noticed a big change in my boys, they have definitely gained a lot of confidence and made lots of friends. They want to learn and are encouraged to explore the areas they find the most fascinating.

Sylvia, ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵCourt School Parent

At my previous school I struggled with Academics when I was younger, just because I had trouble remembering things. I struggled making friends as I was being bullied. However since coming to ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵI have not experienced any of that. I have met such an amazing group of people, they were so supportive, and no matter where I was from we all bonded over different things, and learnt about each other’s backgrounds and heritage.

Student, ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵSecondary

I’m so happy I moved to this school, it was one of the best decisions made and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

Student, ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵSecondary

I wanted to be in a school that was more holistic, that was a family, and that’s exactly what the ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵschool has given to me. I now have an extended family, more insight into other faiths and I just feel so connected.
