Outdoor Assistant

Position Summary
The Outdoor Assistant supports student engagement in outdoor adventures, fitness activities, and recreational sports. This position focuses on equipment management, event support, and promotion of outdoor wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with checking out and returning outdoor equipment such as bikes, kayaks, canoes, pickleball paddles, and other gear
• Clean and properly store all equipment to maintain operational standards
• Assist in planning outdoor activities such as hikes, bike rides, and 5Ks
• Support instructional sessions such as kayak basics and beginner outdoor safety
• Promote upcoming outdoor recreation events and programs across the campus community

Recreation Center Attendant

Position Summary
The Recreation Center Attendant monitors facility safety, equipment cleanliness, and provides customer service to students and staff across recreation facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor fitness facilities to ensure safety, rule compliance, and proper equipment use
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities, including wiping machines, laundering towels, and organizing weights
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors immediately
• Answer questions regarding facility hours and services
• Maintain cleanliness and proper use of locker rooms and restrooms
• Record locker rentals daily

 Gym Manager

Position Summary
The Gym Manager oversees daily operations within the recreation center, ensuring safety standards, supervising student activity, managing equipment, and providing basic first aid when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all gym areas remain safe, organized, and fully functional
• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs
• Support intramural programs, fitness classes, and special events as needed
• Address and mediate patron concerns during open gym hours
• Maintain inventory of gym supplies and ensure cleanliness and proper equipment use
• Encourage and track participation in emerging recreational activities during open gym hours

Fitness Instructors

Position Summary
Fitness Instructors are responsible for leading 3鈥�4 group fitness classes per week, including at least one weekend class per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote classes and maintain a positive social media presence for the fitness program
• Support promotion of fitness programs and campus wellness initiatives
• Certification opportunities are available, along with on-site training and certification support if needed
