Fitness Area Guidelines

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all users.
  • Wear closed-toe athletic shoes and appropriate workout attire at all times.
  • Wipe down equipment before and after use, and re-rack all weights.
  • Use equipment properly; dropping weights and unsafe lifting are prohibited. Spotters are strongly encouraged for heavy lifts.
  • Do not use chalk in any fitness area within the Campus Recreation Center.
  • Store personal belongings in lockers or designated areas; keep walkways clear.
  • Do not bring food into the fitness area; water and sports drinks in sealed containers are permitted.
  • Follow staff instructions, including time limits during peak hours to ensure equitable access.
  • Avoid disruptive behavior, profanity, or unsafe activity to prevent removal from the facility.

Spin

Our Spin classes deliver a high-energy, music-driven workout designed to challenge endurance and build cardiovascular strength. Led by motivating instructors, each ride offers a supportive group atmosphere while allowing participants to control resistance and intensity. Whether you are new to cycling or an experienced rider, Spin is a powerful way to push your limits.


Pilates

Pilates focuses on controlled movements that strengthen the core, improve flexibility, and enhance overall body awareness. This low-impact class emphasizes posture, stability, and muscular endurance, making it a great complement to any fitness routine. Suitable for all experience levels, Pilates helps build strength from the inside out.


Core Fitness

Core Fitness targets the muscles that support the spine, balance, and overall stability. Through functional, focused exercises, this class builds strength in the abdominals, back, and hips to improve daily movement and athletic performance. It is efficient, challenging, and designed to build confidence and strength.


Barre

Barre combines elements of ballet, strength training, and flexibility for a low-impact, high-burn workout. Using small, controlled movements, this class improves muscle tone, balance, and endurance. No dance experience is required—just come ready to move and feel the burn.


HIIT

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) delivers a fast-paced workout that alternates short bursts of intense effort with brief recovery periods. Designed to maximize results in minimal time, this class improves cardiovascular fitness, builds strength, and boosts endurance. It is challenging, energizing, and perfect for those looking to elevate their training.


Yoga

Yoga offers a balanced approach to strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Through guided movement and breathwork, participants improve mobility, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. Whether you are seeking recovery, relaxation, or a physical challenge, Yoga provides space to reset and recharge.


Zumba

Zumba turns fitness into a dance party. This upbeat class combines easy-to-follow choreography with high-energy music to create a fun, full-body workout. It is a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can move, sweat, and enjoy staying active with others.


Virtual Fitness

Virtual Fitness offers a flexible, on-demand workout experience designed to fit busy schedules. Powered by the Peloton app, the studio provides access to over 300 virtual classes, including cardio, strength, yoga, cycling, and more. Simply choose a class and follow along at your own pace in a motivating, instructor-led environment.
